I haven’t posted in a while. A teaching career will do that to you. I want to get better at posting here, so here goes nothing!
This past weekend my quilting group, SnarkyQuilters, went to a quilt retreat at Retreats4You in Kaufman, Texas.
What a wonderful place! There are 3 bedrooms with a total of 14 beds, a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a living room with sofa and two recliners, a roomy and well-lit work area, and even a small “quilt shop.”
We arrived on Friday and left on Monday. The cost was reasonable ($84.80 for the two nights.) We took turns with the meals and had more than enough to eat.
I was able to make some progress on some WIPs. I finished all the blocks for my Grandma’s Kitchen and I completed two more clues on my 2016 mystery quilt. (yea,h I’m behind!) That makes 4 clues, 3 more to go!
I loved it so much I’ve booked another date in October for 3 nights. Let me know if you’re interested in going and I’ll give you the details.
